The Aussie led 5-3 in the last set but has lost the last four games against the home favorite to drop to 0-2 on the week. His win against Fritz was his first victory in two turin appearances, following his defeat last year.
“I’ve had a bit of a pureak break recently, so it was nice to finally get a win here in Turin,” said Minaur after securing his 10th Ap Top 10 win of the season outside of team events. “I worked hard so it was nice to get a good response or a good reward for hard work, so I’m very happy to work.”

The Vivimer Champion has won eight consecutive matches and 16 consecutive sets in Turin, having lost the 2024 title without dropping a set.
“When you come here and win all three round-robin games, you have to play at a very high level, which I did,” said Isona. “Performing very well in important moments has brought me to this point.” The home favorite saved all eight points he faced in the tournament, seven against Zvereev and one against Shelton.
De Minaur skipped twice in his team match, including Alcaraz in his Open. He will next try to break his duck with the sinner by getting his first Lexus Atp Head2head win in the 13th game.

He could climb as high as 4 for the title, but his full focus on Saturday will be on plundering the trophy hopes of world No. 1 Alcaraz.
“[The Nitto ATP Finals] It’s like a big bag and when you look at the list of champions, there’s been a lot of No. 1s. He wants to be in the daytime, but I’ll have to go through a big player to do that. I’ll take my chance when I have it. “
