Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr announced a lineup change before Wednesday’s game in San Antonio and revealed the starting five that does not include Jonathan Kuminga, according to Sam Gordon of San Francisco Chronicle.

Kuminga had started 12 games of the campaign after making 10 at the start of last season, and Kerr said a few weeks back that he had earned a full-time role.
“He’s going to be our star going forward,” Kerr said in the Pred’s 98-79 win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Oct. 28. “He’s been great. [Morant]. Tonight we will put him on James Harden. I think he is ready. “

However, Golden State’s recent efforts have changed Kerr’s mind, as the team has dropped its last five and was on track for a six-game losing streak before beating the Spurs on Wednesday.
The Warriors have four more games left on their current road trip, hosting San Antonio on Friday followed by stops in New Orleans, Orlando, and Miami.
“Obviously we’ve been a little clunky lately,” Kerr told the Sting during the Pregame Press Conference. “Obviously I watched everything and looked at every detail of the lineup. … There are times in the season when you obviously have to make some changes.”
The Docs improved to 7-6 in Kuminga’s first game of the season as a finalist.

Kerr replaced Kuminga with Rookie Shooting Guard Richard, who joined the first line that had also seen Stefan Curry, Draymond Green, Jimmy Butler, and Moses Moody.
It was the second career start for Richard, who had 10 appearances back tonight and was averaging 10 points per game while shooting 58.6% from the three-point field.

Green talked about “Your Agenda” following the 24-point loss at Oklahoma City and suggested that not everyone has the team’s commitment to winning.
While Green didn’t call out any players, his comments may have been directed at Kuminga, whose contract negotiations have included a desire for more salary increases and consistent playing time.
Last month, Kuminga finally signed a two-year, $48.5 million deal with the team. His contract includes a team option in the second year for Golden State or another team if he is traded.
Perhaps the warriors will decide to keep Kuminga, since the first one has produced 13.8 points and doubles, which is 2.8 27.7 minutes by using 13 minutes.
His free throw percentage (77.1%) is also a career high.
