Lamine Yamal removed from Spain squad after receiving banning procedure, RFEF expresses ‘surprise and discomfort’

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has expressed its “surprise and displeasure” at Barcelona’s decision to offer star Lamine Yamal treatment for the injury that forced his withdrawal from the national team.
The ongoing row between the RFEF and Barca over the commitment of the National team reached a crisis point this morning when a statement revealed that the 18-year-old had been suspended for up to 10 days.
The RFEF says it is not aware of Yamal now missing from Spain’s World Cup doubleheader in Georgia and Turkey.
The RFEF statement read: “The medical services of the RFEF wish to express their surprise and displeasure after learning at 13:47 on Monday of the radiofrequency gathering in the treatment of the abnormality of Pabulaglia Dissemoffort every morning.
“This procedure was carried out without prior communication with the medical staff of the selection, realizing its details only through the report received at 10: 40 pm yesterday evening, when the medical recommendation of 7-10 days is indicated.
“Given this situation, and prioritizing at all times the health, safety and well-being of the player, the Royal Spanish Federation has made the decision to remove the athlete from this call.
“We hope you can turn out lovely and we wish you a speedy and complete recovery.”
De La Fuente thought he was ‘ready to play’
Yamal has been fighting Pabaglia in his groin but has played 90 full minutes in the last four games and, asked what Luis Luis de laente said: “I think the answer is visible.
“His coach said he’s ready to play. He’s going back to being the player he’s always been, and we’re celebrating that. He’s going to stay with us as long as we think it’s right.
“We have two very important games and we need the best players on our field. We have two very important games to prepare for the World Cup, the numbers are big and we want the best players as well.”

Yamal will not play a role in Spain’s World Cup bid
Spain will confirm their place in the United States, Canada and Mexico this week if they beat Georgia and Turkey and fail to beat Bulgaria. If that doesn’t happen, the title will go down on the last day.
It is likely that the Spanish European champions will improve but that will do little to end the growing tension between the Federation and Barcelona.
Yamal defended the injury during the break of the September International that inspired an angry reaction from the Blaugrana Boss Hansi Flick, who said: “They had an impact for at least 70 minutes, and they played a player.”
The RFEF later called-up rayo vallecano winger jorge de frutos as Yamal’s replacement.
