Taylor Fritz was robbed of Lorenzo Musetti’s Nitto atp finals deals in Empharatic Fashion on Monday, delivering a commanding performance to silence the packed Innalpi Arena crowd in Turin. Demolition combined with controlled aggression, the American Retated Play from the base to sign a 6-3, 6-4 win against the Italian.

“I’m really happy. I thought I did a lot of things really well,” said Fritz. “I did a good job early in the match to get out of trouble and save some break points. The second set I played well and I had a lot of chances to get out there and he didn’t come back.”
Fritz finished with a performance average of 9.20 against Sumetti, more than his tour average of 2028 in the year 2025 when Mumetti scored twice in a row from 40. Fritz then held his nerve in action, gathering between 0/30 for a 5-4 victory after one hour and 43 minutes.
“Every time I come here, I like the conditions and it’s very easy to putt,” said Fritz when asked about his impressive record. “You can lock it, it’s the last tournament of the year and it’s the ATP Finals, it’s a big deal.”
Fritz is now 1-0 in the Jimmy Connors team and will meet Carlos Alcaraz and Alex de Minaur in round-robin play in Turin. ALCARAZ, chasing the nitto atp finals crown, lost to minaur on sunday to start his final push for the year-end ATP.
Fritz owns a record of 52-21 in that period, according to the Infosys ATP Win / Loss Index, highlighted by titles in Eastborne and Stuttgart. The world number 6 is locked at 3-3 in his Lexus ATP Head2head Series against Mumetti, with the pair’s first meeting in 2025.
Musetti enjoyed the best time of his career to qualify for the year-end event for the first time, advancing to the finals in Monte-Carlo, Chengdu and Athens. This 23-year-old man is ranked by the country and World No. 2 Jannik Sini in Turin. Devistring Champion Sonner begins his campaign against Felix Auger-AliasShime on Monday night.
