The Blues continued their first power play of the game after Samuel Honoel Honow was sent to the penalty box for a trip. Dylan Holloway would capitalize on the man advantage, fielding a shot from Justin Faulk. Pius Suter picked up the second assist on the goal, giving him his 10th point of the season. He is the first blue to reach 10 points in 2025-26.

Less than three minutes later, Defenseman Matthew Kessel jumped on the play, passed from Oskar Sundqvist, and fired a wrist shot past Dustin Wolf for a 2-0 Blues lead.

Nathan Walker took a poor conversion and got a 3-0 Blues’ lead. Robert Thomas almost made it 4-0 shortly after, but his shot went wide.

The Flames maintain their nutritional drought for more than 14 minutes per season. Mathe Coronato scored his fourth goal of the period to cut the deficit. 25 seconds later, Rasmus Andersson got the game 3-2.

The Flames pulled the goalies in an attempt to tie the game. Coronato had a chance in front of the net, but he shot the puck high over the net. Another shot was blocked early by Walker. The final seconds were rushed as the Blues claimed a 3-2 victory in front of their home fans.
