The Dallas Mavericks will reportedly enter the trade market for big man Anthony Davis before this year’s deadline, team sources told ESPN’s Tim MacMahon on Wednesday.

Davis, 32, has been linked to multiple teams since parting ways with Basketball Operations President and General Manager Nico Harrison last week.
Among those teams are the miami heat, york knicks and york.
The general consensus is that Davis will end up on the end of the trade block with Harrison gone.

Mavs governor Patrick Patrick Dummont admitted that the blockbuster deal against the Los Angeles Lakers last season was to get Tuka Donic.
Harrison, however, was the guy Mavs fans chanted against the team and protested outside the American Airlines Center, as well as in the stadiums.

As Macmahon explains, Dumont and general managers Michael Finley and Mather Riccardi, head coach Jason Kidd, and building owner Jason Cuban “arrange Pive Pivot.
Davis played in just nine regular season games for Dallas last season. The five-time NBA All-Star was recovering from an abdominal injury at the time of the trade and was ready to compete in his mods.
He missed six weeks with that knee injury.
During the offseason, Davis also underwent a procedure to repair the retina that he suffered at the end of the 2024-25 season. He sustained his right eye injury in Dallas’ 120-118 win over the Atlanta Hawks on April 2.
A co-worker, Daniel Gafford, unfairly kept him in his eye. He left the game clean and returned with a bandage above his right eye. Cutting the top of it required four stitches.
Davis is now wearing goggles and has left his job.
Injuries, the contract can change the commercial managers
In total, Davis has appeared in 14 of the MAVs’ 48 regular season games since the trade deal and is currently due to a type of left tackle.
The team announced Sunday that Davis will be back in seven to 10 days.
Since Davis has dealt with several injuries in his 14-year career, his three-year, $175.36 million contract should also be a concern for any team interested in a trade.
With Sportrac, Davis earns $54.1 million this season and $58.5 million for the 2026-27 year, with an option for $62.8 million for 2027-28. Will add – it’s worth it next summer.
Injury after injury, it may be too late for Davis to increase his trade value at this stage of his career.
Even if he returns to playing at a superstar level, there is no guarantee that he will stay healthy long enough to help the team win the NBA title this season.
