Bedard’s Second Trick Leads Blackhawks to 5-2 Win over Flames – Hockey Writers –
The Chicago Blackhawks and Calgary Flames face each other for the second time this season at the United Center in Chicago.
During their last meeting in Calgary, the Blackhawks won 4-0 in a physical battle that included three fights. The Blackhawks entered the contest without their captain, Nick Foligna, as well as Jason Dickinson and Tyler Bertuzzi. But they have won four of their last five games and want to keep that momentum going.
Meanwhile, the Flames currently sit in last place in the NHL and are looking for redemption, but the Blackhawks won 5-2.
Game clarity
The Blackhawks and Flames played the best time, with a 5-4 shot instead of Chicago. Both teams found the Powers playing in unanswered time. Ryan Donato opened the scoring for the Blackhawks to make it 1-0 after the Flames failed to clear the field, but the Flames challenged the goal interference goal. My call, and the blackhawks got another game on fire.
In the second period, the flames hit the posts early, and there were some looks from both sides, but the game began to change when Bean Bean took a big penalty, sending the Blackhawks to the power play. With 24 seconds left on the power play, Calgary’s Kevin Bahl took a delay of game penalty, giving the Hawks a five-three lead. But the flames killed them. But there was no momentum Calgary Swing, as Connor Bedard made it 2-0, Blackawks, after Goaltender Dustin Wolf blew the puck.
But Connor Murphy took a penalty for checking, and Mathe Coronato got the Flames on the board, 2-1 28 seconds into the second period. The Shots were 9-7, Chicago.
Rasmus Andersson It tied the game 2-2 for the Flames in the third period, but then the Blackhawks took over. Bedard scored his second goal of the game to make it 3-2. Wyatt Kiiser took a delay of game penalty and the Flames couldn’t find the equalizer. Oliver Moore made it 4-2, Blackhawks. Colton Dach accepted the penalty against Adam Klapka and once again, the Flames came up empty. Bedard got his second leather trick of the period to make it 5-2 to seal the win for the Blackhawks. It got feisty in the stands at the end of the game, with Ilya Mikheyev and Adam Klapka taking heavy penalties in the third period, too.

The Blackhawks schedule back-to-back games against the Seattle Kraken and Buffalo Sabers on November 20 and 21. Meanwhile, the Flames continue with the second half back at the Sabs on November 18 in Buffalo.
