Golf has released its latest ranking of the top 100 courses in the world, and almost half of them are in America. (Great Britain and Ireland, with 29 subjects, has the highest number.)
The last time we published this list two years ago, there were 49 courses in the US; This time around the number is down to 48. Whistling Strains, Muirfield Village and Yeaemans Hall are ALL IN THE FIGHT, while Children’s Hall and Horrock Ranch are up for grabs.
Of the US courses, 11 of them are in New York, including two of the Top of TOP at ShinineCock Hills (5th) and the golf links of the American country (6). And of course, the top 100 golf course in the world, Pine Valley, is in New Jersey. Cypress Point, ranked second, is in Pebble Beach, Calif.
