Blue Jackets ‘PAXTETS’ PAILLES returns home to help beat maple leaves in overtime – hockey writers – columbus blue

Columbus Blue got some much needed rest Wednesday after their game in Winnipeg. They were looking for a better performance Thursday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Thanks to a few local players, the blue jackets got two important points.

Adam Pintlilli scored twice including the game-winning goal in overtime. The blue jackets defeated the maple leaves 3-2.

The story of this game was the connection of the blue zone that played a big game in front of their friends and family.

Game clarity

Todlilli said there were more than 100 friends and family at the Scotiabank Arena for the game. Both jet greaves and luca del bel belluz each had a group of friends and family with this game. They wanted to give everyone a night to remember.

It wasn’t like that in the beginning. Even though the maple leaves lost seven refts from their lineup, they came ready to play.

Even though the team lost, the maple leaves dominated the game. They rule the circle facing each other. They had two power play opportunities. GREVES was the reason it was 0-0 after one.

The blue jackets pick things up in the second. Dmitri Voronkov opened the scoring just three minutes into the second. Fantlilli’s shot caught a piece of Voronkov’s pants and hit Joseph Woll.

The blue jackets later doubled their thanks to Fantlilli. His shot started in the barrel and went in. At this, Voronkov laughed at him. Along with Zach Werenski, each had an impact on the game’s first two possessions.

Maple leaves quickly respond to the poplili vaccine. Dakota Memis scored his first goal as a member of the Maple Leafs from long range. The greves are thoroughly tested and have no chance. It was a 2-1 game after two periods.

It seemed that the blue jackets had things under control. But then John Tavares went on to make his big debut in the 2025-26 season. He scored his 12th goal of the season in the majors and it came from Easton Cowan.

Both teams had chances late on but extra time was needed to settle this one. For now, the blue jackets don’t need a shot to get the second point.

Fantlilli scored his second of the night. He took out the WOll and made a single deck to seal the win.

Woll finished the night with just 27 saves in his third start of the season since returning to the lineup. Plains finished 1-1-2 on the night.

But the trio of fantlilli, werenski and greave could not be found. Todlilli finished 2-1-3. Werenski assisted on all three goals. Greaves made 27 of 29 stops to get the win.

The Blue Jackets will now head to Detroit. They practiced there on Friday before their game on Saturday afternoon against the Red Wings. The Maple Leafs will head to Montreal for a hockey night in Canada featuring the Canadiens on Saturday night.
