Can Norris win the title in Qatar after his Las Vegas Dnf?

Lando Norris’ Championing Charges

As it is, Norris saw his lead in the Championshise half returned 24 points thanks to Piastri and now Max Verstappen, who joined Australia with 366 points.

The 24-point advantage still leaves Norris in a commanding position, but it doesn’t just appear that he would have been a 30-point leader had he not lost his second place finish in Las Vegas, and the 18 points that went with it.

When Norris won the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, he knew he couldn’t wrap up the title in Las Vegas but would have to wait for Qatar – and the final weekend of the campaign.

But can he still win the title this coming weekend after his DSQ, or will the season end at the Finale in Abu Dhabi? We have listed all the key numbers and conditions below…

What is the status of going to Qatar?

There are 58 points on the table for 2025 – 25 for each of the remaining two prix wins in Qatar and Abu Dhabi, plus eight points for this weekend’s Sprint win.

Simply put, if Norris finishes the Qatar Grand Prix leading Piastri and Verstappen by 26 points or more, then he will do enough to win the title.

Can Norris get the job done at Sprint?

Good news for Norris can reach the title in many ways – but one thing he it can’t Make a clinic entry during Sprint Saturday.

Even if he won the Sprint (scoring eight points) and his two rivals failed to score, Norris would lead them by 32 points out of 50.

Taking the weekend as a whole, if Norris ends up in pole position and Verstappen by two points, he would be recognized as a hero (a gap of 26 points on the left.

Therefore, the title will be decided after the Qatar Grand Prix itself, or in Abu Dhabi.

What about potential ‘add-on’ situations?

If Norris finishes with both piastris and averAppen at least one point in Qatar, and gets the Grand Prix, the championship will be his.

The Grand Pricking Talies relevant to that category will have eight for Norris, seven to use verstappen, which means wistri or verstappen in Abu Dhabi and the non-stere foll will not be able to overcome the technology.

Indeed, Piasttri will be equal in the winning race, but will lose based on the number of second places (currently eight compared to three), and Verstappen will lose based on the number of WINS (eight compared to seven).

If Norris keeps Piastri by one point in Qatar, without winning the Grand Prix, Piastri will not be removed from the title race.

That’s because PIASTRI can still win in Abu Dhabi and Norris can’t get points anymore, which means they would be tied on points, and Piastri could be the Champion based on the number of wins (eight or nine wins compared to seven).

If Norris edges out Verstappen by one point in Qatar and Verstappen wins the Grand Prix (possibly with Norris finishing second in the Grand Prix and winning the Sprint), Verstappen will not be eliminated.

This is because another victory for Verstappen in Abu Dhabi and a non-stew to Stere for Norris will put them on equal points, but Verstappen will be the champion based on the number of wins (eight versus seven).

Traffic numbers do more than qatar on the weekend at that time. But don’t worry – we’ll be bringing you the latest headlines once the Qatar Sprint is over, so stay tuned to f1.com.
