Nelly Korda will regret 1 shot with wineless 2025

Naples, Fla. – Nelly Korda had a simple explanation for his endless 2025 season when the LPGA year wrapped up on Sunday in Naples.
“It was a grind,” Korda said of the follow-up to his 724 campaign. “Success never follows.”
While that’s true, each decision and each Swing Korda makes in 2025 plays a role in the final outcome, sending ribs through the frustrating star of the LPGA’s biggest star. One shot often lingers in Korda’s mind. It hurt to be the defining shot of his season, just not in the way he had hoped.
Korda said: “No. 18 in the US open.” Korda said Sunday about his last incident at Erin Hills. “I actually hit that shot pretty good. I probably hit that all year, and because of the adrenaline I was like, I can’t be here, so I could get it.”

Korda entered the week at Erin Hills preaching patience. The US Women’s Open is her most accomplished tournament. And he is the one who gave him the biggest trouble in his career. Korda finished the final round of the 2023 US women’s open at Pebble Beach with an 80. He shot that same distance during the 2024 round at Lancaster Country Club. The premier event in women’s golf has been frustrating, but she showed up in Wisconsin with a plan to find contention and change the narrative.
“If you want to feel it, you’re going to feel it,” Korda said of the pressure of being expected to fight and win. “But I think what’s really important is just kind of sticking to your game plan and really focusing on what you’re doing in the moment, and that’s really helped me.”
Korda stuck to his word of patience at Erin Hills, and it started when he led the tournament in found wheels: Tee to Green for the week. But when he got to the par-5 18th hole on Sunday, there was no time for patience. We are still tracking the hararting majA Stark by three, Korda needed to do something to make the pressure on the flesh happen as it goes down the stretch. He split the fairway with his tee shot and then fouled his second shot toward the flag. Shot from a high hole but tied with the green color in the valley. He wound up making bogey and ending a tie for second.
“When you get that close, and you feel that adrenaline drop 18, the only thing you want to do is win the medal at the end of the day,” Korda said that day in Wisconsin. “And I’m not like that.
“Korda is absolutely heartbreaking. “But that’s golf.”
Korda’s 2025 saw his four days at Erin Hills. He was very good at math. He was better off the tee and putter in 2025 than he was in his 2024 season. His face numbers are the same, and only his raw food was worse.
And yet, all that would have been Korda’s full rage at Erin Hills was safely tucked away in a rack and gave him an eagle eye. They still needed to make the putt — he was ranked 52nd in putting that week — and needed a stop coming at home to have a chance. Crazier things in golf have happened than a golfer having a lead or two when trying to close the first big.
The US women’s open comeback attempt A win that would mean more than any medal it raises in 2024. The rest of the rest of the 2025 would be the mortgage.
But Adrenaline’s adrenaline route overcame any hope he had, and he left Wisconsin still in search of the big championship he so desperately desires.
His entire season was a combination of good golf and mediocre results. Korda was not a factor in any other major tournament, and he finished the season in the tour half, six shots behind Jeeno Thitikul, who got Korda as the World.
It was a difficult year to describe Nelly Korda. Too hot to be at the wrong time is the “good line” of golf. ” The big picture of the unreal time left Korda with a sense of pride in how he stayed healthy and poured it into improving his game. That it all amounts to zero more trophies in Korda’s case is nothing more than a fact of life in each game.
“The high is probably like seeing a big light in my game where I’m really happy with the work I’m putting in,” Korda said. “After that some of the parties are like every girl can say here, every pro can say that, you put a lot of time and effort into your art and you don’t play often.”
Korda went winless in 2023 and responded in 2024 with a streak of five wins in a row. The 2025 season may have been successful for Korda, but it served as a reminder to lean on those around him for a different perspective and focus on what he can control.
“I can just say that I’m waiting, I’m listening to outside noises, I’m actually sticking to what I know is good, and that will keep everything simple,” said Korda.
Finally, 2025 brought questions and one regret about Nelly Korda. That someone can help change everything.
