The Europa League is back and with it comes 18 games across Thursday evening, plenty of action to catch!

Two Premier League sides were in action on the night. Aston Villa were given a scare from the younger boys, but managed to find the line, running out 2-1 winners.

Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest cruised to a 3-0 win over Malmo, on a night when the hosts never got out of second gear.

Rangers and Celts were involved as well, albeit with mixed fortunes.

Feyenoord vs Celtic: Scots make history in Europe

Celtic ended a long wait for an away win in Europe, beating Feyenoord 3-1 in Rotterdam for their first such result in four years.

The hosts hit back through Ayase UEDA after 11 minutes, finishing from close range after Sem Steijn broke through in the box.

Celtic responded well and were level on 30 minutes, with reoo hatate lifting a steady cross to the back behind yang to direct.

The visitors closed the score with eight minutes to play. Maeda intercepted Weltenreuterher near the byline and cut the ball back to Benjamin Nygren, whose strike crashed under the bar and was dismissed for 3-1.

Rangers vs Braga: boos ring at Ibrox

Rangers were held to a 1-1 draw at Ibrox by Braga, despite having a numerical advantage in the second half.

The Scottish side took the lead just before half-time, with Captain James Tavernier converting a penalty after Navarro was tackled in the box.

Rangers were fighting up front, with goalie Jack Burland making two fine saves to keep the score level.

Braga were reduced to ten men on the hour mark when Rodrigo Zalazar was sent off for a headbutt on Raskin, leaving the side in a promising position to get the season under way.

However, a defensive lapse allowed Braga to return to the game, with Gabri Martinez capitalizing on Djiga’s mistake to equalize in the 69th minute.

Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Lyon: Hostots Hit For Six

Lyon produced a dominant performance away to Maccabi Tel Aviv, securing a 6-0 win in a very close encounter.

The French side took an early lead in the fourth minute through Abiner Vinícius, before Corentin Tolisson added a second in the 25th minute with a header from Abner’s cross.

Tolisso struck again from close range five minutes later, and Mussa Niankate converted a penalty in the 35th to make it 4-0 at half-time.

The second half saw Lyon continue to attack, with Tolisso completing his hat trick, with Adam Karabec rounding off the goals in the 62nd minute.

Porto vs good: Portugate Side Cruise to win

Porto came to life in a comfortable 3-0 victory, ending the night in complete control at EstaDio do Dransao. The Portuguese side were beaten within the opening minute, with Gabri Veiga heading in the opener from close range after being picked out by Pepe.

Porto maintained their early dominance and doubled the advantage just after the hour mark, Veiga again at the center of it as he met the winner Froholdt was cut from the fire in the net.

It’s good to struggle to create anything clear in response, their best efforts coming from Sofiane Diop and Terem Moffi, both of whom missed the target.

The visitors’ hopes started to get going at the start of the second half when Samu Achehowa won a penalty, then calmly stepped up to make it 3-0 just after the hour.
