The special transfer window has open temporarily until June 10th with clubs able to sign players ahead of the Club World Cup. The biggest clubs in European football and clubs across the continent are already making plans for next season. Teams are working tirelessly behind the scenes on identifying targets and figuring out their budgets.
Managers will be constantly assessing their squads with sporting directors and recruitment staff scanning the market for potential deals. A plethora of players will become available in the summer where clubs famously have more money to spend and aren’t as restricted by financial fair play rules. The rumour mill is beginning to pick up pace and we’ve collated some of the biggest current transfer stories.
Today’s biggest transfer stories
Galatasaray have began talks over signing Victor Osimhen on a permanent deal. The Nigeria international looked destined to join Al-Hilal but the Saudi club couldn’t agree on terms with Osimhen. Napoli will cash in on the prolific striker this summer as he’s entering the last year of his contract and a return to Galatasaray is on the cards.
Real Madrid are reportedly closing in on a deal for River Plate starlet Franco Mastantuono. It’s understood that Madrid will pay around €45 million for the 17-year-old and they will beat competition from Chelsea and PSG.
One player that could be leaving Madrid this summer though is Rodrygo. The Brazilian is reportedly unhappy at the Santiago Bernabeu and Arsenal will attempt to sign him. The Gunners want to strengthen their attacking options and they’ve also been linked with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.
