Manchester United reportedly want €48 million for winger Marcus Rashford this summer, who has been made available on a permanent transfer if reports are to be believed. The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, where he scored four goals and provided six assists in 17 games. The Midlands club have an option to buy him for that same €48m fee, but reports suggest the England international favours a move to a Champions League club, with Villa only qualifying for the Europa League next term.
The Red Devils have already all but sealed the €62.5m signing of Wolves forward Matheus Cunha, and have been linked with bringing in another striker this summer. But where will Rashford be playing his football next season? Here at Transfermarkt, we have picked out five potential transfer destinations for Rashford in this upcoming window.

It would seem that Rashford has his heart set on joining LaLiga champions Barcelona, with the Daily Mail reporting that Rashford’s brother and agent Dwaine Maynard held talks with Barcelona sporting director Deco in Spain on Wednesday. “Luis Díaz and Marcus Rashford are both fantastic players, I like them and we’ll see what happens,” said Barca manager Hansi Flick in a recent press conference. The Catalan club’s front three were on fire this season, with Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowksi scoring 94 goals between them, but reports suggest Flick still wants to add more firepower to his front-line.
Newcastle
Another Champions League club who could take a punt on Rashford are Newcastle. The Magpies already have a solid attack with the likes of Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon, but have money to spend this summer, and with European football next term, may be looking to add more depth to their squad. Manager Eddie Howe could have his sights set on getting the best out of Rashford.
Aston Villa
Although they missed out on qualifying for the Champions League, a permanent move to Aston Villa cannot be ruled out. Rashford showed glimpses of his extreme talent during his loan spell, and Unai Emery showed signs that he may be able to get the best out of him. In a heartfelt message about his time at Villa Park, Rashford said in a social media statement: “Just a message of thanks to everyone here at Villa for what has (injury aside) been an incredible few months for me. ‘It is a really special club and I appreciated the way Villa fans embraced me with open arms from 1st minute on the pitch.
‘Manager, team, and coaching staff have all been brilliant.” Could a reunion be on the cards?

It’s no secret that Arsenal are in the transfer market for recruitments in attack this summer. The Gunners have been linked with a plethora of strikers and are also expected to sign a winger. Mikel Arteta’s team need more pace in their front-line and Rashford would add just that. If Arsenal could get the best out of the winger, it could add another dimension to their game. Arteta has already bought in Kai Havertz, who was unfavoured at Chelsea, and changed his role. Perhaps he could do the same with Rashford.
Saudi Pro League
It would seem that Rashford’s preference is to stay in Europe, but he could be tempted by the lucrative finances that would come with a move to the Saudi Pro League. In January, reports suggested that Rashford had ‘no interest’ in a move to Saudi Arabia as he felt it would ruin his chances of getting back into the England team. However, With Al-Ahli’s Ivan Toney included in the latest England set-up, and Thomas Tuchel clearly a fan of Rashford, having included him in his first ever squad, that stance may have been slightly altered this summer.
