Chelsea reportedly have some interest in West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus, who can leave for £85m in a brief window this summer.
The Ghana international shone in his first season for West Ham after also previously catching the eye at Ajax, though his second year at the London Stadium was less impressive.
Still, it seems Kudus remains on the radar of some top clubs, with Chelsea said to be keen on the player with an £85m release clause for ten days in July, according to the Daily Mail.
The Blues could do with strengthening in attack this summer after disappointing form from the likes of Joao Felix, Pedro Neto and Mykhailo Mudryk.
One imagines Chelsea might even view Kudus as an upgrade on Noni Madueke, while Jadon Sancho could also need replacing as he’s leaving at the end of his loan.

Mohammed Kudus transfer: Is the West Ham star good enough for Chelsea?
On his day, it’s clear that Kudus is an absolute nightmare for defenders to deal with, due to his pace, strength, skill and goal threat.
However, the 24-year-old is rather inconsistent, and that might make CFC think twice about whether or not he’s really the right signing for them.
On recent form, Kudus certainly doesn’t look like an £85m player, but perhaps the Blues could negotiate that price down a little.
Could Chelsea land Kudus in swap deal?
The Mail suggest Chelsea goalkeeper Djorde Petrovic is someone West Ham are interested in.
Swap deals aren’t that common in football, but this might be one to watch as Chelsea could use West Ham’s interest in Petrovic to get Kudus for a lower fee.
In truth, many West Ham fans would probably be pretty happy for their club to cash in on Kudus if possible this summer.
