Cincinnati, Doha, Bastad named 2025 ATP Tournaments of the Year

The Cincinnati open, the Qatar Exxonmobil open in Doha and the Nordea open in Bastage were named the tournaments of the year in their respective ATP categories based on the results of the player survey.
The Cincinnati event was named the ATP Masters 1000 tournament of the year for the first time after completing a $260 million renovation of the Lindner Family Tennis Center. Doha received an upgrade of its own, becoming an ATP 500 event this season and leading the polls at that level, while the basad wasstad event was named an ATP 250 tournament for the 13th year.

Cincinnati opened to life with great hype after doubling its footprint on 40 acres, transforming its grounds into an unforgettable campus that combines elite tennis with the atmosphere of an amusement park. The $260 million investment was made jointly with the city of Mason, Warren County and the state of Ohio.
In its 126th year, the event welcomed more players than ever before – 96 in the singles main draw and 32 in the doubles – as they extended to 12 days, while also expanding one of the most user-friendly venues on tour.

Carlos Alcaraz captured this year’s Cincinnati men’s singles title, while Rajeev RAM and Nikola Mektic claimed the doubles crown at the August event.

Andrey Rublev won the MEHA Men’s Singles title and the event received the “Golden Falcon” Trophy, beating Jack Draper in the last set. Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool won the all-British doubles by beating Joe Salisbury and NEAL SKUPSKI.
The Nordea Open, voted the ATP 250 tournament in one year for 11 years from 2002-12, has now won the award for the past two seasons. The event in Sweden, one of the most scenic in the calendar of the ATP Tour, and included voting in 2023, when it celebrates 75 years.

Italian-Seed Darderi of Italy won the Bastad sastad title in July, while the top-seeded doubles Guido a Andreozzi and Sander Arends won the final doubles match.
