Liverpool have been told why Wirtz isn’t doing julian nagelsmann

Liverpool signed Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window for a fee of £100m.

The German international midfielder was considered one of the best moves of the summer transfer window.

His excellent history with the German Club and the national team made him a surprise before hitting the ball for Arne Slot’s team.

However, it has been very good for him, and for Liverpool.

Wirtz is yet to score or provide an assist in the Premier League after 11 matches.

Liverpool are in their worst form under the arne slot

The Slot team is eighth in the league after losing seven of their last ten games.

Wirtz has received criticism from the media and fans for failing to make an impact this season but Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann believes the blame should go to the team and not the player.

“Liverpool can also help him out by hitting other opportunities for him,” Nagelsmann said, when asked about Wirtz’s activities this season, as reported by Sky Sports.

“Somehow he doesn’t like to shoot the ball.”

“To be honest, the whole situation doesn’t make it any easier,” said Nagelsmann.

“The whole team is not as stable this year as it was last year. It is very difficult to get into the team now.

“If you look at the game against [Manchester] At City, they were actually the worst team in 90 minutes.

“So it’s also difficult for Flo to make a big impact. In the end, the whole situation is that he just needs more time, it’s normal; you see that with other players who move to the Premier League too.”

Liverpool’s most recent defeat came against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium where they were reliably beaten by Pip Guedliola’s side.

The goals from Erling Haaland, Nico Gonzalez and Jeremy Doku ensured a 3-0 win that the royals put the slot and his team in more misery.

“We all know what he’s capable of, and it’s perfectly normal for a player of his age to go through a bit of a dip,” said Nagelsmann.

“We can’t expect him to perform at the same level for three straight years.

“Instead, we all need to support him a little bit so he can clear his head here, then maybe Liverpool can help him out by scoring some of the chances he’s making.

“That would be another point of view, because he doesn’t create a few chances, it’s just…

Wirtz needs more time to settle in England and be able to adapt to the pace and diet of Premier League life.

There is no doubt that his performance has been poor, considering the price tag he has brought with him and such works are overlooked.

However, the Reds should continue to support the player. His past record is impressive, his potential is undeniable.
