Retired players also took part in the court ceremony during the Friday night time at the Inalpi Arena, not long before the collision of the attacks of Alexander Zenver and Felix auger-AliasSime. Among them was Kyle Edmund, who won two ATP 250 titles and reached the semi-finals of the 2018 Australian Open before his career was interrupted by a series of injuries.
“I noticed that when you play, you don’t think much about your job, but since you retire you have more time at home, and you can appreciate your job more,” said the 30-year-old Briton. “On the tour, but even in the Juniors and the tour, it’s good to show.
“It’s great that the ATP reached out and said they want to celebrate my work with this festival … it’s a nice touch and you remember that they are good at these things.”

I’m very proud of what I’ve achieved, and to be on a team of legends here – which they are – means a lot.”
