Spain and Switzerland End Campaigns are inevitable while Belgium and Romania record wins

There were 10 games on Tuesday as the group stage of European qualification drew to a close
Spain kept their unbeaten run at the 2026 World Cup eligible as they drew 2-2 with Turkey to end the campaign as group winners.
The Europeans were hoping to make it six wins from six and thought they were on their way to finding that after Dani Olimo put the lead after four minutes in Seville.
The visitors hit back through Deniz Gul shortly before half-time before taking the lead after a Salih Ozcan break.
But any hopes of a memorable victory were dashed when Mikel Oyarzabal grabbed an equalizer on 62 minutes as La Roja looked to next summer, and Turkey headed for the playoffs.
Another game in group e saw Bulgaria beat Georgia 2-1 in Sofia.
Switzerland also ended their campaign without defeat following a 1-1 draw in Kosovo.
Ruben Vargas gave the visitors the lead two minutes after half-time but Florent Muslija scored for the hosts, who will take charge of their qualification hopes.
In another game in group B, Sweden brought their DISNAL campaign.
Graham Potter’s side went behind to Timi Max Elsnik’s goal but was leveled by Gustav Lundgren with three minutes remaining.
Sweden finished bottom of the group, without recording a single win in their six games. However, they will have a shot at redemption in the playoffs courtesy of a NATIONS Group Win.
With Wales winning big in Cardiff, only a defeat in Liechtenstein would see Belgium surrender their hold on top spot in group j.
As it was, they comfortably moved their opponents with MANCHESTERTER DOKU DOKU to apply the brace at 7-0.
Charles de Ketelaere also scored twice, while goals from Hans Vanakn, Brandon Me Mede and Alexis
The Saelemaekers ended the rout.
In Group H, Romania ended their campaign with a 7-1 demolition of San Marino.
The visitors took a surprise lead after just two minutes but added seven separate goals – although two were his own – as the hosts cruised to victory.
Austria and Bosnia and Herzegovina, who got first and second place, respectively, played 1-1 in Vienna.
Group C The clash between Belarus and Greece ended with a taxi of mishaps, a controversial game with Hamptland’s victory over Denmark at Hampder Park which earned the first appearance of the Tartan army in the Tartan tens of the World Cup since 1998.
Who are the teams in the European playoffs?
The 16 teams that will include the 12-up group runners include the four most organized teams from the World Leations Leations campaign that failed to finish in the group of two they deserved.
They will fight for the remaining four European spots in the upcoming world cup, which takes place on Thursday 20 November.
Jar 1: Italy, Denmark, Turkey, Ukraine.
Pot 2: Poland, Wales, Czech Republic, Slovakia.
Pot 3: Republic of Ireland, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo.
Pot 4: Romania, Sweden, North Macedonia, Northern Ireland.
The teams in pot 1 will play one match at home against those in pot 4, while the teams in pot 2 will play at home against those in pot 3.
The winners of each semi-final advance to the semi-finals.
The matches will be held in March 2026, with the semi-finals on 26 March and the finals on 31 March.
