There’s a growing buzz within the industry about the 19-year-old star player with the world at his feet, and it looks like a big move is getting closer and closer.
The player whose name is being talked about is likely to grow more and more as he has been linked with clubs all over the Premier League and beyond in recent months.
As first reported in the daily forum, I am talking about AZ Alkmaar WonderKid Kees Smit. The Netherlands’ most watched Dutch Under-21 international is already being compared to big names like Kevin de Bruyne and Frenkie de Jong.

It is possible that some of this information has already come out elsewhere, but for that I have to reveal that a very reliable source, who asked to remain anonymous to protect the relationship, told that the smits may leave Azmaar in the summer of 2026.
The eredivisie outfit have obviously been keen to hold on to SMIT for as long as possible, and have a contract until 2028, but there is an admission that they may have to cash in on him in the near future.

“Everyone in AZ knows that Smit is potentially attractive, and they are open now to allowing him to demand the right amount next summer,” my source said. “£25m is the figure I hear, and I couldn’t be surprised if the deal ends up being initially agreed in January to go through the summer.”
It is interesting that while a whole group of clubs have found him, I am told that so far only Manchester United are in contact with the player.
“Christopher Vivell has been talking internally at Smit for a while now, and has contacted the player to impress him with the move,” my source said.
It is important to note that this is not the same as official Club-to-Club talks or anything like that, so it is early days, but a sign of United’s intentions, for sure.
Who else wants to sign the Smit Smits?
You’ve probably heard some of these words because there *is* a lot of interest in smiling, but I’ve been told that and others, it’s worth putting up with the following:

- Chelsea
- Newcastle United
- Real Madrid
- An airplane
- Bayern Munich
SMIT is highly regarded by the scouts of these clubs, and it is possible that soon they will follow soon and make them like him.
However, at the moment, they seem to want to get in there early and maybe get an advantage over some of the top clubs, so it will be interesting to see if that works out for them.
