Man City have been called out by Alan Shearer for their defensive weaknesses

Manchester City suffered their fourth Premier League defeat at the hands of Newcastle United on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola’s side lost to Eddie Howe’s side at St James Park, with Harvey Barnes scoring both goals.
It was a tightly contested encounter between the two teams who ended up giving their first heat against Kinisiwe’s team.
City had a chance to close the gap on the league leaders to one place but they failed to make the most of that opportunity.
With Chelsea In addition to the win of their game against Burvingley, the Blues moved to the second position in the league, the city of Guardiola leads in the third position.
Alan Shearer was sick of City’s defence
Soccer Pundit Alan Shearner was aware of the city’s major concerns that the city could reduce their challenge in the Premier League against Arsenal this season.
The former Newcastle United striker pointed the finger at City’s frailty defense and said the Magpies could score more points in the game.
‘I understand his concern because his team was beaten and beaten well in that second half,’ Shearper told the premier of the league, as reported by the Metro.
‘They didn’t create much. He’s just green after the game, seeing his team beat really hard It’s a game, but for me the concern would be how many chances, not any responsible decisions or luck.
‘If Newcastle had their shooting boots on, they should have scored six or seven points – they’d put four of the hosts out. The way they carved the city opened up a big way for me. ‘
‘They certainly don’t help in any way, and we may never have seen them better than they were when they made such an incredible escape,’ he added.
‘I mean, the standards they set for winning trophies, goals and all that stuff, it was brilliant and I’m not sure we’ll see them come again and again.
‘It’s certainly not the same team without the brilliant rodri and protection they give to that team. I’m not sure they took him lightly. Whether they can find someone good, probably not.
‘But the worry would be for me personally. They are always going for SoCle’s goals, especially with haaland up front, but defensively they are certainly not as sharp as they used to be. ‘
What is actually right about Man City?

Shearper sees through his analysis about protecting the city. Newcastle United could have and should have scored more points.
City’s midfield looked disjointed and failed to provide the defense needed.
The Magpies had several chances to score more points but it was Goalkeeper Gonnarumma who saved the skies for the Blues on several occasions with his excellent performance.
Along with a weak defense, people’s overconfidence in Erling Haaland can cause a lot this season.
When he doesn’t stop, they don’t look like goalscoring targets. Recently, Jeremy Doku and Phil Foden have contributed but they need more goals in that team.
If the opponents manage to keep Haaland quiet, they feel that they can beat the city by looking at the chances of their defense will agree.
Guardiola needs to address this issue before it’s too late. With a win against Tottenham on Sunday, Arsenal can increase their lead to over 7 points.
