Man United can fight alone, said Amorim

Ruben Amorim says Everton’s Idrissa Geeye shouldn’t have been sent off for Michael Keane’s deadly spell at Manchester United – and believes the changes between players during the match were a “good feeling”.
United were well-placed to get a home win when Gueye saw red in the 13th minute after being penalized for a foul on the 16th minute.

Amori accused his players of having a “secondary understanding” after manager Geneye raised his hand for a foul, with contact Tony Harrington issuing a penalty for violent behaviour.
“I hope that when my players lose the ball,” said Amorim, adding that unity was not “full” of the opportunity to move two points after the next tight run.

“They won’t be sent, but that’s a good feeling, not a bad feeling.
“We didn’t understand the moments of the game. That’s my fault – I need to explain to the players how they played in every situation. It’s my job to explain the game.
“It was not a real team or individual. I feel afraid that I will go back to last season [when United finished 15th and without a trophy].
“That is something that worries me a lot. The players are trying but we need to be better. There is a lot we can do and we will do it.”
