Chelsea considered the double engagement of AcheHowa and Froholdt

It is reported that Chelsea is preparing a double transfer of FC Porto Stars Samu AgheHowa and Victor Froholdt, with a combined value of around $133 million, according to TeamTalk.
The Blues are keen to bolster their squad with attacking strength and midfield reinforcements for Likefield ahead of the 2026 summer window and the Portuguese duo appear to fit the bill for Enzo Maresca’s emergence.
The Stamford Bridge side, who have continued their aggressive recruitment drive in recent windows, have been keeping a close eye on Porto’s progress.
Both Aghehowa and Froholdt were key figures in Francesco Farioli’s team, and Chelsea Scouts were present at several recent games, producing detailed reports on Premier League form.
Chelsea are interested in Samu Aghehowa
The first name on Chelsea’s radar, Samu Achehowa, has developed into one of Europe’s most exciting youngsters.
The 21-year-old burst onto the scene in the past with an extraordinary return of 27 goals in all competitions, the youngster has slipped into the Primeira Liga’s deadliest strikers.
His energy, showmanship, and deadly finishing ability drew comparisons to Didier Drogba, which Chelsea fans still hold.
However, Porto is shy about keeping its star striker, especially in the middle season. The CLUB has no intention of negotiating a discount, which means Chelsea would have had to trigger Achehowa’s release clause, believed to be around 100 million, to secure his signature.
