That’s when his contract expired.

Garland is now in the final year of his current deal. His extension kicks in on July 1, because it was a six-year deal that included a no-holds-barred clause. Now, sometimes when you sign an extension, a movement clause is added to the final year of the current contract. Not so with the garland. He does not attract you until July one.
Thocher Deko, who also signed an extension including a move clause, worked on it this season. His was added this season, and I believe (Kevin) Lakinen also has a no-movement clause. So, good job, guys.
But Garland Sherwood, those people I look up to. I don’t expect much interest in Evander Kane, so I don’t expect a move there. Teddy Blueger would generate interest later. He is injured right now. They have to pick up five guys on expiring contracts who will be UFA. And obviously, those will be some of the players who will look to submit. But other than that, that’s it.
