By the time student Ten took to the court in Jeddah for his second straight appearance at the Gen ATP Finals presented by Pif, he would no longer be a fresh-faced teenager who had stunned the field like a previous Finalist.
Instead, The American arrives as one of the cracked revelations of 2025. Ten’s breakthrough in Ten’s Tour Toup 30, the ATP Tour Trophy with Metz in Metz in Metz in Metzetson expects in the ‘future scandal’. However, if there is one thing that remains the same after the increase in his metric, it is that he refuses to decrease under the spotlight.
“I’m doing a good job of keeping up with myself,” Tien told Atptour.com in Paris in October. “I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself, I’m just trying to go in and enjoy myself because I’m playing all these tournaments. I’m able to go out there with ease and it helps me a lot.
“I like to keep my lines pretty consistent, but usually playing from spot to spot is difficult. I do my best to try and keep a lot of things the same.”
That freedom translates to less confidence on the court – especially against the sport’s heavier games – and it was on full display at the Australian open in January. As a suitable world for Qualifier Con.
It didn’t stop in Melbourne, where he reached the fourth round. Time and time again, he entered the marquee courts and rode without a loss, compiling a 5-3 record against the top players, according to Infosys ATP Win / Index of Infosys ATP Win / Loss of Infosys ATP Win / All Season.
“I really enjoy those matches, I see them as good opportunities. I don’t think there are many expectations for me to win,” said Tien, who also defeated Ben Shelton, Andrey Rublev and Lorenzo Musetti earlier this year. “I just go out, play free, and play well, and I’ve been lucky enough to get past a lot of them.”
Tien is part of a production operation powered by the same young talents who shared the stage with him last year in Jeddah. Joao Fonseca – Who Beat Tien in the title match – and Miami Champion Mensik joined him in turning the 2025 season into one year for their team.
Together, they lead the next wave of men’s tennis, which aims to follow the path carved by the former followed by the next PIF Champions Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Canner, now in the world.
“I think most of the younger guys are doing well,” Tien said. “Sometimes it’s hard, and people come out better than others during the first year as they don’t really know how the new things will go with the ‘little guys’
Former World Former World No. 2 Michael Chang, who joined Ten’s team in July, has played an important role in accelerating the rapid growth of 19 years. Chang’s impact was immediate, giving the 19-year-old Mat Road a map for someone living the pressures he was beginning to face.
“He brings a lot of experience, a lot of tennis knowledge,” Ten watch said of Chang, a Tour-Level champion. “I don’t have a lot of experience myself since it’s my first time, so having someone on my team who really knows how things work, and what happens over the years, really helps me a lot.”
Returning to Jeddah this year on a never-ending business, Ten will bring the confidence of a top 30 success, a fearless attitude that helped him conquer the top 10 stars, and the blessing of a young star who thrives under pressure.
The next 2025 Gen ATP presented by PIF will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from 17-29 December.
