The long Thanksgiving weekend in the United States means a busy schedule for the AHL, and time for teams and fans to give their brand some kind of thanks as they look back on the year.
We had a look at what the Short East teams were thankful for earlier. Now it’s time to leave the western conference.
Abbotsford Canucks
In winning the first-ever Vancouver Canucks cup match, head coach Manny Malhotra And his players took their fans on a memorable ride last spring. Some of those players moved on to Vancouver, others found new opportunities elsewhere. But they will all be linked in AHL history and leave a lot of memories for Abbotsford Fans.
The Bakersfields paid tribute
After his well-documented challenges on the ice, Connor Ingram to find his way back through the ice and those who find the suspects. The Edmonton-based Oilers acquired the two-time AHLer from Utah in training camp. Ingram has won a lot of fans over the years, and people have treated him badly in Bakersfield and beyond.
The Calgary Wranglers
Calgary fans had high hopes Matvei GridinThe Flames’ first pick at the start of the NHL 2024 draft. The 19-year-old leads all ahl rookies with 20 points (eight goals, 12 assists) in 18 games for the Raiders.
Chicago wolves
Cayden Primeau He was poised to be the Chicago Wolves’ Number-One Goaltender before being asked to make waves by the Toronto Maple Leafs in October. But Carolina pulled him back on Nov. 8 and finally made it to Rosemont. Primeau was 21-2-2 in 26 games with Laval last season as the Rockets won the regular season title.
Coachella Valley Firebirds
Pro second pro Jagrus firkusThe second baseman for the Seattle Kraken, took a big step forward this fall, posting 20 points (nine goals, 11 assists) in 17 games with Coachella Valley. As is always the case with high hopes, he could end up making his way to a parent NHL team before too long. But for now, at least, the fire pits have wrapped up the offensive ones.
Colorado Eagles
Besides the good start, the first eagles also received exciting news Off-Ice back in September when they broke 2028. Combine those services with the Eagles, and the team should continue to have one of the top teams in the AHL.
Grand rapids griffins
Just about everything has gone so far this season for the Griffins (15-1-10-1). They lead the organization in rebounding, second-ranked defense, and even if they’re also limited in losing goaltenders Sebastian Cossa and Michal Postva injuries were able to thrive. While the parent Detroit Red Wings are celebrating their mid-season, the Griffins are in their 25th year in the AHL and this 2025-26 campaign looks like it could be something special.
Henderson Silver Knights
How will the silver knights handle the loss of the goal deal Carl Lindbom Remembering the Vegas Golden Knights? Well, as it turns out. A team that has struggled in the win-loss column in recent years, the silver knights are right in the Pacific Division Mix following an active Offsuason that has strengthened an active Offsuason. This is a team with some of the best facilities and resources in the AHL, and now they have the success to go with it.

Manitoba Moose
The most active summer has started so far for the moose, with a balanced charge led by the young Walker is right and Samuel Fagemo with six goals. Manitoba has 7 wins in its last eight games while seeing a defender Elias Salomonsson and goaltender Thomas milc Make their NHL tunes with Winnipeg this week.
Milwaukee admirals
No matter what happens around them, the Admirals continue to manage their businesses. The Nashville Predators have struggled, and when an NHL team goes through a tough time it can have an impact on us. But the head coach Karl Taylor He always shoos away any possible distractions for his team, where the focus remains firmly on what the Admirals have to do. At 11-3-2-0, Milwaukee has a top-five record in the league while continuing to provide NHL-ready scoring opportunities.
Dominion of Ontario
Akhil Thomas He has had a tough battle with injuries in his career, including being limited to just 25 games with Los Angeles last season. But he has played all 18 contests of the reign so far in 2025-26 and provided 13 points (four goals, nine assists) as the Ontario JOSTLES of the Pacific Division Posing.
RockForf Icehgs
Take your pick as to which prospect in Rockford should most excite Chicago Blackhawks fans — there are plenty. The Rookie Nick Lardiswith his 19 points in 19 games. The Goaltender Drew Commesso. Defense Ethan del Mastro and Kevin korchinski. Oliver Moorealready making an impression in Chicago after a hot start in Rockford. The Icehogs, under a first-year head coach Jared Nightingaleis an important part of his re-formation of the Blackhawks Organization.
San Diego Gulls
Matthew Phillips just keep producing. A 30-point scorer with 30 goals as the Calgary Flames, Phillips played 31 games in the NHL in 2023-24, and won the Caller’s Cup from Hershey in 2024-25. Now in San Diego in the first year of a two-year deal, Phillips has a team-best 18 points.
San Jose Barracuda
Much like rockford, the barracuda find themselves a key part of the NHL’s rebuilding plan. The San Jose Sharks gave the cuda the likes of Filip Bystedt, Igor Chernyshov, Kasper Haltunen, Mattias havelid, Cam lund and Quentin munny – All first drafts or first drafts – this season, making the AHL Club an exciting team to watch. Sometimes their youth shows, but that is a natural part of player development. The 11-game points streak (9-0-1-1) ended on Friday, but San Jose still sits in second place in the Pacific Division.
Stars of Texas
A franchise that has always appreciated its people, the Stars now have three members of their 2014 World Cup team behind the bench as the new head coach Toby petensen joined the assistants Max fortus and Travis Morin. And the captain Curtis McKenZiethe rookie on this title team and one of the most respected numbers in the AHL, is back for his ninth year with Texas after helping himself to the conference last spring.
The Tucson Roadrumaners
Cameron Hebig He returned for his sixth season with the Roads after a memorable 20244-25 season in which he earned a trip to the Ahl All-Star Classic and signed his first NHL contract with Utah. Hebig, who received a mammoth two-year extension over the summer, has responded with eight goals and 15 points in Tucson’s 18 games so far.
