Iain Macintyre of SportsNet: The Vancouver Canucks are still waiting for forward Kiefer Sherwood to know that his name is on the best hills.

“You know, I love it here and I love this team here, and I want to continue to take it day by day,” Sherwood said. “I think it’s part of the gig. You have to be professional and you have a job to go and play. You try to be positive about everything.”

Canucks President of Hockey Ops Jim Rutherford said this week that they need to get them and will listen to their waiting calls – Sherwood, Evander Kane, but he does not want to trade everyone.

Defenseman Quinn Hughes will be able to sign a contract extension this offseason, so he will have to decide if he wants to stay in Vankoy or work his way up to his brothers.
