Game clarity
For most of the game, there were some opportunities for both storms and flames. However, Netminders Brandon Bussi and Devil Cooley had different opinions as they went through 60 minutes of regulation without giving up a goal. Cooley finished the game, giving up one goal on 17 shots. He had a save percentage (SV%) of .941. It was one of those games where people feel bad about losing a goal because they would have got a hard-fought victory. But Cooley was on the wrong side of things.

On the flip side, Bussi got the first NHL Shutout of only his eighth career. He makes 10-Bell saves and gets storms throughout the game. The Flames had 12 of their 15 shots in the last two periods, and Bussi made a big save after the big last to keep the Hurricanes tied. He improved to 7—0 on the season starting in the eighth. This was the first time he had started back-to-back games, and he was rewarded with a masterclass shutout performance.
The Hurricanes pressured the entire game, but Cooley blocked everything thrown his way. It also helped that the flames were there to park bodies everywhere in their place to keep the storms at bay. This is one of those games where the first to score wins the game. The Hurricanes were out in the third quarter, but clawed their way back to make it 5-5 in the FINAL RETORELCE FREAC. They had two more shots and were finally able to score with cooley.

The Hurricanes move to 16-7-2 on the season and have won two straight games. They are 2-1-0 during their current seven-game homestand and look to keep the winning streak going. Their next game is Thursday, Decred 4, against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Flames fall to 9-14-3 on the season, following the loss to the Hurricanes. Their next game is Tuesday, Dec. 2, against the Nashville Predators.
