Voting closes May 27

The 2024/25 season is drawing to a close, with European football gearing up for a revamped Club World Cup and the excitement of the summer transfer window. The title winners have been crowned in three of the top five leagues, with Liverpool winning the Premier League, Bayern Munich regaining their control of the Bundesliga, Paris Saint-Germain walking to another Ligue 1 title, while tight title races in Serie A and LaLiga continue to play out. And that’s not to mention thrilling finals in the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League before the end of the month.
As such, football fans will naturally begin to reflect on the season that just was and may start to wonder which players truly stood out for their favourite clubs or in the leagues they follow with the utmost interest. And luckily for such fans, this is also the time of the year that Transfermarkt turns to its amazing community to vote for their player of the season across no less than 19 leagues. Last season the community singled out star players like Manchester City playmaker Phil Foden, Real Madrid box-to-box titan Jude Bellingham and Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz as the best in their respective leagues. But which players deserve to be awarded the player of the season this time around? All you need to do to vote is click on the image below!
How the voting works for the player of the season awards
The Transfermarkt community has made a pre-selection of six candidates per position (goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards) from which one must be chosen per position. Next, from the four players chosen, you will decide who is the best player of the season in their respective leagues. You can vote for your player of the season in the top five leagues – Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1, La Liga and the Bundesliga – plus 14 other leagues across the world. Voting closes on May 27th across all competitions so remember to make your selections by then!
