Liverpool star Wirtz receives harsh criticism from Gary Neville

Manchester City absolutely put Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium and won 3-0 in Pep Guardiola’s 1000th game as manager.
The win moved City into second place in the league, four points behind Arsenal while Liverpool dropped to eighth in the league, even behind their fierce rivals Manchester United.
Guardiola’s side may have won by a huge margin against Liverpool at the Etihad, that’s how impressive they are against the Arne slot team.
The problems put the slot and his players who have now suffered in the Premier League this season.
They lost four Premier League games last season but after 11 games this season, they have been beaten five times.
Florian WIRTZ receives criticism from Gary Neville
Football pundit Gary Neville pointed out that Florian Wirtz ‘looked like a little boy’ against the City man.
The German Midfielder joined Liverpool in a big money move in the summer but has so far failed to live up to expectations.
Neville said on the Gary Neville Podcast: “Wirtz is a problem.
“Let’s just call it what it is. It’s a problem. He’s £100m+, and be fair, I said a few weeks ago [Milos] Kerkez looked like a little boy over there.
“Today, I thought Wirtz looked like a little guy. That can’t be.”
Neville added: “We’ve been following him for a few months, around the fact that he’s young, he’s coming to a new country, but he’s 120 pounds, he’ll have to get up soon.
“Obviously he’s got something, he’s a really good player, he’s technically brilliant, but he was out there today by Matheus Nunes and others.
“He was attacked around the voice, and he didn’t deliver on the quality side of things, so his performance was a real concern.”
Neville continues: “He is an international of great stature, and he looks short of what you would expect from the Premier League of the Premier League.
“They’ve got to take it up a notch, they’ve got to get that little bit of toughness, and that little bit of something that means you’re going to start getting to him, because that’s what he’s got to do.”
The Liverpool midfield still has the support of the manager

Slot is confident that Wirtz will prove himself in the Premier League and return to the form he once showed for Bayer Leverkusen.
The question remains, when will WIRTZ do that? The Reds are already eight points behind Arsenal in the Premier League.
In the Champions League, they did not look convincing despite beating the real MADRID recently.
Wirtz struggled to adapt to the pace and physicality of the English game.
While he made up for his lack of goals and helped with his work rate it wasn’t why Liverpool were paid a record fee for the midfield.
Jamie Carragher also criticized how Wirtz performed this season. He looks completely lost in the valley and seems to have lost his creative nature.
