Spectacular Starr Pass Resolution Revealed

Expansion and renovations have been completed at the Starr club in Tucson, and the results are amazing. The new Clubhouse is spacious and modern from the refreshed locker rooms to the 3,000 golf shop.
At the Grand Reopening Press Conference, membership director Sydney Bryan, unveiled the club’s new logo: a star above the road. This Zinga plays a tribute to Richard Starr, a pioneer who broke the stagecoach trail in 1884, when the club was opened. His first pass ran right along what is now the former Coyote Newway, which has been renamed his pioneer.
The former RATTLELELELA WAS RATTLER had been dressed as a gambler, befitting its bold design (with a reminder of the occasional rattlesnake in the wilderness). Palmer nine, designed by Arnie himself in 2005 was renewed by others this year, but its famous name remains unchanged.
All 27 holes are now in pristine condition, with new hardy vegetation, redefined bunkers, and plenty of fairways running between the fairways while the tavelinas play and seek cover. Bentgrass has been replaced with tifeale, ensuring good rolls and play all year round. Bordering the Saguaro National Forest, the course layouts are both challenging and rewarding, with sweeping desert vistas.
David Stout, Stroon’s VP of Science and Agronomy explained how little the desert has been used in real projects over the decades. The group removed the buffalo grass and other invasive species, to achieve a re-design as an Audubon collaborative site, now home to 164 species. It was not an easy task, especially given the challenges of reclaimed water, and Steut Credits Superintendent Alex McCallista for accomplishing something. They actually bring the clock back to the original 80s designs.
To mark the milestone, and coincided with the 40th anniversary of the movie, Back to the Future was the theme of members and VIPs reviving the group. Guests come dressed in their favorite ten fashions to join in the ribbon cutting, and sip and sip fresh concoctions from creoSote – Sonoran Kitchen and cocktails. DJ kept a nice patily under the big new logo released on the mountain above the 18th green where the light ball competition where the light ball competition shines.
General manager David Loomis is shown changing, noting that BURDE replaced Ad Designed with Open Design overlooking the Patio, 18th Green Green and Desert Reviewle. It’s fun and exciting. With experience in DADAR, the white witch in Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands, Loomis knows the importance of pairing luxury with a destination. The club at Starr Pass is well positioned to welcome members, guests, the Tucson and Global Community for everyday and special events.
Owned by Troon PrivalĂ©, the two-year restoration combines the club’s rich heritage with modern luxury. Rob Demore, Troon Privel’s Executive VP, expressed his pride in the preservation of the venue that once hosted the PGA Tour for nine years, including the time when Moul Phil Mickelson won The Helmet Helmet Trophy as an amateur.
History can repeat itself when the PGA Tour returns in December 2025. Starr Pass will host stage 2 of the PGA Tour Q-School, where a generation of golfers are born.
