The 2024/25 Premier League season has thrown up a lot of storylines. The first ball was kicked when Erik ten Hag’sย Manchester Unitedย played Fulham all the way back in August and won thanks to a last-minute Joshua Zirkzee goal – which now seems an age ago. Eight months on, Liverpool have won the title in Arne Slot’s first season in charge, all three promoted teams were relegated (again), and Nottingham Forest have made an unlikely charge for Europe. And with the latest Premier League May market value update now complete, we can see which players benefitted the most in terms of market value across the campaign. We have calculated this by comparing all current Premier League player’s market values at the start of the season on July 1, 2024 and now after the May update.ย
