After a surprise break, the 2025 ATP Tour reaches its conclusion this week at the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, where the country’s top players will fight for glory on Sunday at the Inalpi Arena.
Carlos Alcaraz Heandlines the field following a different year, but he faces strong challenges from defending Champion Jannik Dinner, who comes in red-hot form. 2-time winner Alexander Zvereev sees another run at the prestigious trophy and Felix Auger-AliasSime Return for the first time since 2022.
Making their victims of the NITTTO ATP Finals are Ben Shelton and Lorenzo Musetti, while Taylor Fritz passed and Alex de Minaur returned to action at the Inalpi Arena. ATPTORD.com takes a look at the key stories to follow in Turin.

1) Defending the Sinner of the Champ brings home: After winning the Maiden Nitto ATP Finals crown last year, the sinner returns to home soil eager to defend his title. The 24-year-old Italian enters Turin riding a 26-indoor winning streak, including back-to-back titles in Vienna and Paris – his last appearance.

2) Alcaraz aims for the first title: With eight Tour-High Trophies in 2025, according to the Infosys ATP Win / Index of ALCAST, Alcaraz described this as his ‘best’ season yet. Now, the 22-year-old Spaniard will look for another milestone in his resume: his first NITTTO ATP Finals crown. Alcaraz arrives in Turin looking for redemption after the surprise defeat of Cameron Norrie’s opening in Paris.
3) End-end Now. 1 the battle reaches its climax: ATP Race of the Year-End Now No. 1 presented by Pif Honors between Alcaraz and the sinner went down to the wire in Turin. Ison Trails Alcaraz with 1,050 points in the PIF ATP Live Race to Turin and must defend his title to end the year and the second straight year.
Nkoni’s fate depends on how dominant his run is, while Alcaraz could still see out the top spot of the year with a strong showing – especially if the Italian pulls the same route. Read the full breakdown here.
4) Shelton and Musetti make tunes: After a breakout season – where he won his biggest career title at the ATP Masters 1000 in Toronto – Shelton has secured his Nitto ATP Finals Debut. He joins Fritz to mark the first time that multiple American men have been included in the second round of the 2006 season.
Musetti is the second player on the field who will be doing their draw. He is the only player this season to reach at least semi-famalis in all the ATP ATP 1000 and Roland Garros, and he supported it with the final pleasure of the girl open in the US open.
Shelton competes with Bjorn Borg Group alongside sin, zvereev and auger-aliassime. ZvereeV leads Shelton 4-0 in their Lexus ATP Head2head series, with three of these clashes coming this year, including the Munich Final.
5) zvereeval eye hat-trick: The foundation in the event, zvevev makes his eighth appearance in the nitto ATP Finals, having raised the medal in 2018 and 2021. The German reached his final major at the Australian open and won the ATP 500 crown in Munich. He is now eyeing his third title at the year-end Championships to cap off another rocky season.

6) Fritz, de Minaur, Musetti in Alcaraz’s Group: After defeating Alcaraz in the laver cup two months ago, Fritz will find himself looking for another Indoor Win over the Spaniard in Turin. Both competed in Jimmy Conners’ team, which included de Minaur and Mumetti. De Minaur makes his second direct appearance in Turin.
7) Integrated Integrated Field: Top seeds Julian Cash and Lloyd Glasspool headline the doubles field. They will face fierce competition from Marcel Granollers / Horacio Zeballos, defending champions Kevin Krawietz / Tm Puetz and Simone Bolelli / Andrea Vavason in the Peter Fleming Group.
Meanwhile, Harri Helivaara and Henry Patten are still able to earn money / glasspool in the year-end ATP tournament. They lead the John MCENOE GROUP, also featuring Marcelo Arevalo / Mate Pavic, Joe Salisbury / Neal Skupski and Christ Harrison / Evan King.
