Ivan Juric is the new coach of Atalanta
Atalanta have officially appointed Ivan Juric as their new coach with a contract to June 2027, as he is following in the footsteps of his mentor Gian Piero Gasperini.
He has put pen to paper on a contract to June 2027 at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.
The decision had been in the air after talks with several other tacticians, including Stefano Pioli, Thiago Motta and Raffaele Palladino.
Juric worked closely with Gasperini

La Dea had worked with Gasperini for the last nine seasons, so it was wise to pick one of the many current Serie A bosses who learned from the master and consider him a mentor.
Nobody fits that bill better than Juric, who was his player at Crotone and Genoa, then acted as Gasperiniโs assistant manager at Inter and Palermo.

About to turn 50 in August, the Croatian started a solo career in 2014 and had roles at Mantova, Crotone, Genoa, Hellas Verona and Torino.
He had a chaotic 2024-25 season, lasting only 12 games at Roma before he was sacked on November 10, then hired by Southampton on December 23 for just 16 matches that culminated in relegation from the Premier League.
Gasperini was today formally announced as the coach of Roma with a deal to June 2028.
